DAY 1

Upon arrival in Manaus, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Villa Amazonia hotel or similar accommodation.

DAY 2

The departure to the Lodge starts early in the morning from the hotel in Manaus. The trip takes about 3 hours and, along the road, you will visit the famous meeting of the waters between the Negro and Solimões rivers. The waters of the two rivers run parallel for a long stretch, without mixing, until they form the Amazon River. You can feel the temperature difference between the rivers. Upon arrival at the hotel, a welcome juice awaits you, prepared with the typical fruits of the region. After lunch with regional and international food, you will depart for a canoe excursion. On the way, you can swim and watch the famous pink dolphins. After the tour, return to the lodge and dinner. After dinner, there will be an evening excursion to see alligators. Overnight at Juma Amazon Lodge or similar accommodation.

DAY 3

The day starts at dawn to observe the wonderful changes of color of the Amazonian sky with the birds singing early in the morning (observation with binoculars). At the end of the tour, return to the lodge to have breakfast with fruits and typical regional food. After breakfast, walk in the forest. During the hike, always done on little trails, the guide will show you some survival technics in the forest, providing information about the Amazonian wildlife and showing plants that are edible, medicinal and useful for many other things. Return to the Lodge and lunch. After lunch, departure for a boat trip to practice fishing piranhas and other fish from the Amazon region. Dinner will also be prepared with the fish you caught! After dinner, you can watch the sunset at the lodge listening to the stories of the (native) guide about the customs and legends of the inhabitants of the river.

DAY 4

Breakfast at the lodge and departure for a walk through the forest, followed by a picnic with regional cuisine cooked in hot coals. After lunch, relax in the hammocks. In the afternoon, you will visit a caboclo on the river, who will show you how cassava flour is produced, the main economic activity in the region. Return to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 5

Breakfast at accommodation and transfer to Manaus airport. On the way there will be a stop at the Pirarucu Float. The pirarucu is known as the river giant, a species of fish that can weigh up to 200 kg.
